One of my favorite authors, Joe Vitale or “Mr. Fire” who is also an Internet marketer and the creator of Clickbank Secret Code, once gave a talk about how to think like God.
I really like the idea. However, of course, it doesn’t mean that we can do anything as if we were God. What Joe means is that God will not “think” about limits when He wants to do something.
If we think like God, we will give to whoever needs our help without thinking that we will have anything to lose. We will think about abundance, instead of scarcity.
This principal can be applied in every area of our lives, including in our effort of making money online through Internet marketing.
Joe himself gives an example when his friend, John Harricharan, suggested him to write a book based on his previous article entitled “The Greatest Money Making Secret in History”. John said that if he wrote a book on the topic, he would be able to help a lot of people.
The very next day, Joe decided to start writing the book. He eliminated all the limitations on how long the book was going to be finished. As a result, he was able to finish it over a weekend (more or less), since he actually didn’t write all of it. He also included articles from contributors such as Dr. Robert Anthony and Mike Litman.
This also applies to your Internet marketing effort.
Consider this: have you ever felt that you wanted to create a website or write those articles for the products you’re promoting, but then discouraged thinking about the amount of time required?
Or, what about those backlink building stuff that seem to last forever?
Of course, you can always outsource the things you are lazy to do if you want to.
However, if you decide to do the stuff by yourself, “thinking like God” will get rid of whatever the limits there are. You will remove all of your limiting beliefs.
But let me confess, I do still have that kind of limiting beliefs. That’s why I’m writing this article.
I’m writing this because I’d like to share Joe’s idea with others, and because I want to remind myself about it.
Before I finish this article, I’d like to add a little bit.
I think Joe’s idea about thinking like God is almost the same as applying (some of) the attributes of God. The Muslims are taught that God (Allah) has 99 names based on His attributes, for example As-Shakur or The Grateful and Al-Qawwiy or The Strong so that we should always be grateful and strong in whatever circumstances we are.
